Son of James King and Elizabeth Laird. Husband of Avis Fedora Stephens.

EUREKA, Juab County -- Irven J. King, 56, died Friday at 9:30 a.m. in a Payson hospital after a lingering illness.
He was born March 10, 1895 at Provo, a son of James and Elizabeth Laird King. In 1900, he moved with his family to Eureka. He had been a miner and rancher. Mr. King was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge and of the American Legion, Post 34, Eureka.
He married Avis Stephens in 1936 at Provo.
Surviving are his widow; three daughters: Mrs. Cleon [Marna] Jolley, Payson; Mrs. Bob [Pearl] Ashworth, Eureka; and Vida Louise King, Eureka; a sister, Mrs. Joseph L. Nielson, Salt Lake City; three half brothers, James MacNeil, Eureka; John MacNeil, Grants Pass, Ore., and Bob MacNeil [s/b Blood], San Francisco; also his step-father, Dave MacNeil, Eureka.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Eureka ward chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, by George Forsey, bishop. Friends may call at the family home in Eureka Monday and Tuesday prior to services. Burial will be in Eureka City Cemetery under direction of Fairbanks Mortuary.
