Memorial service for Carl Eugene Ryan, 77, Lawrence will be held 6:00 pm Monday, July 20, 2015 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery in Lawrence. He died July 18, 2015 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Carl was born in 1937 in Lawrence, Kansas the son of Timothy and Minnie (Cotton) Ryan.
He married Joetta Tingle on December 16, 1959 in Lawrence, Kansas. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two daughters, Cheryl Reischman (Pete), Tonganoxie, KS, Kathy Lynn Tennis (Les), Miller, MO; son, Rick Alan Ryan (Tina), Perry, KS; eight grandchildren, Crystal, Richard, Brandon, Jason, Christopher, Lauren, Jeffrey, Andrew; five great grandchildren, Chandler, Ashton, Zohey, Ava and Micah.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Carl was a union brick mason for 47 years. He enjoyed a life of hobbies that included fishing, camping, and hunting. He was a musician and loved playing his guitar. Carl enjoyed spending time with his family during get togethers and at the lake.
