Mrs. Myers was born on June 23, 1920 in Darlington County, the daughter of the late Barney E. and Maggie Rogers Blackwell and stepdaughter of the late Anna Jane Berry Blackwell. She was a graduate of Hartsville High School and Coker College. Mrs. Myers was a member of Scranton Baptist Church where she served as Music Director, Organist and Pianist for sixty-four (64) years. She taught First Grade, Public School Music and Private Piano Lessons.
Mrs. Myers was predeceased by a sister, Martha B. Windham and brothers, Lester J. and Alton C. Blackwell.
