The Evening Times, Tuesday, Aug. 27, 1907: Mr. Patrick Gallagher, one of the oldest and most prominent residents of Mt. Savage, died at his late residence at that place at 4:30 this morning, aged 62 years. The deceased lived at Mt. Savage all his life and for the last thirty years was prominent in Democratic politics, and also in the upbuilding of his town and county. His life was an open book and no man ever departed this life who was more respected by those who knew him than the one who has just passed into the great beyond. The deceased for many years was foreman of the Union Mining Co.'s foundry at Mt. Savage and stood high both with employers and employees. He leaves a widow and seven unmarried children, viz: John, Charles, James, Elizabeth, May, Angela and Ellen Gallagher.
