Clifford O. Crawford, 83, retired Shelby County School Teacher transitioned from this world on Tuesday July 14 at Methodist Hospital Germantown. He was born on May 17, 1932 in Tuscumbia, AL. Clifford was a graduate of Trenholm High School. He received his B.S. from Texas Southern University and his Masters +45 from Memphis State University (U of M). Clifford worked in Shelby County as a teacher, coach, as well as a recreation supervisor for the Shelby County Conservation Board. Preceding him in death were his parents Albert Sr. and Ida Mae White Crawford; his wife of 51 years Marilyn Long Crawford and his three brothers. He is survived by his daughters, Regina (Joseph) Crawford Golden and Yolanda Crawford, four granddaughters Candace (Abdul-Baarik) Bilquis-Golden-Hussein, Domonique Golden, Maleka Rafee, and Simone Golden, one brother, Tommie Crawford (Tuscumbia, AL) and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be held Monday, July 20 from 3-5 p.m. at N. J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home 12 S. Parkway W. The viewing will be held Tuesday, July 21 from 9-11 a.m., with the funeral service immediately following at 11 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church 1169 Kerr Avenue.
