Robert L. Parrott, Jr., 82, of Scio passed away Thursday (July 16, 2015).
Mr. Parrott was born on Sept. 26, 1932 in Syracuse to Robert L. and Mae Estelle (Williams) Parrott, Sr. He served as a sergeant in the US Marine Corps from 1950-52; actively participating in the decisive Inch'on Landing on Sept. 15, 1950. After his service, he came home and graduated in 1952 from Christian Brother's Academy in Syracuse.
Bob is survived by the love of his life, Gloria Morehouse; five daughters, Melissa Martin and Meghan Cornish, both of Syracuse, Lisa Delmont of Macedon, Janette (Daryl) Wambold of Cincinnati, Ohio and Deborah (Douglas) Fuller of Belmont; four sons, Robert L. (Michelle) Parrott, III of Syracuse, Bryan Morehouse and Marc (Kathleen) Morehouse, both of Wellsville and Matthew (Tami) Morehouse of Lebanon, Pa.; one brother, William (Virginia) Parrott of Cleveland, N.Y.; one sister, Mary Quick of Fredericksburg, Va.; a special friend, Lucille Walton of Rochester; 23 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Friday (July 24) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Baker-Swan Funeral Home, 3256 Riverside Drive in Wellsville with the memorial service immediately following the visitation at 1 p.m. Burial with full Military Honors will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery in Belmont.
