PORTLAND -- Vincent James Kennedy, Sr., 91, was the son of John Patrick and Margaret Mary (Ronzio) Kennedy. He lived in Dedham, Mass. and attended Dedham schools. He served stateside in the US Army during WWII. On Oct. 17, 1945 he married the former Irma DiSciullo at St. Peter's Catholic Church. He was a communicant of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church. Mr. Kennedy was a baker for John J. Nissen Baking Company in Portland for 33 years, retiring in 1976. Vincent was predeceased by a son Vincent in March of 1952 and a sister, Theresa Skinner in 2005. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Irma of Portland; his two daughters, Ann M. Ellenwood and her husband Ted of Yarmouth, Joan P. Cushman and her husband Tom of Portland; two sons, Michael A. Kennedy and his wife and Wanda of Yarmouth, Vincent Kennedy and his wife Louise of Lowell, Mass.; a sister, Isabelle Volk and her husband Paul of Needham, Mass.; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
