She was born June 29, 1924 in Williamsville, the daughter of the late Albert Griffin and Elsie Bennett Griffin.
She was married to the late Sidney T. Martin, who preceded her in death on July 24, 2003.
Mrs. Martin retired as a cook from various restaurants throughout the county. She attended Burnsville United Methodist Church. She was a wonderful and devoted mother and wife; she enjoyed cooking and feeding people; and loved flowers.
She is survived by three children, Gerald Martin and wife Charlotte of Covington, Gene Martin and wife Ruby of Burnsville, and Dale Martin and wife Betty of Millboro; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Frances Witt of Chicago, Ill.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Marion Bennett.
