Mrs. Rachel Louise Sims expired May 17, 1997. She was born in Gautier MS on August 28, 1917. she was preceded in death by her parents Mr Peter Mott Lamar and Mrs. Jane Lamar and her brother, James Lamar.
She lived in New York for over twenty years then returned to her home in Gautier, MS where she was a faithful member of New Era Baptist Church. She was a choir member, a senior mission worker and was treasure of the Paster's Aide Club.
She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Josie Joe, Pascagoula, MS; three nieces, Thelma Lamar, Moss Point, MS, Gloria Brady, Bellevue, WA and Sonya Lliody, Charleston, SC; one son, Jackie Collier, Korea, one grandson, Randall Collier, Sumpter SC and Bevelin Collier.
