John A. Luckey, age 82, of St. Charles, died Thursday, September 19, 2002, at Delnor-Community Hospital, Geneva. He was born July 30, 1920, in Chicago, IL, the son of Albert and Elizabeth Luckey. Mr. Luckey was a member of St. John Neumann Church. He was a veteran of WWII serving as a Navigator for the Army Air Corp. He was a member of SCORE Aurora and Elgin Chapter. Before his retirement he was founder and owner of Recora Co. Inc. for 35 years. He was an inventor and held many patents on the product line. He is survived by his daughter, Susan (Patrick) McGehee of Green Bay, WI.; his son, John Jr. of Des Plaines; two grandchildren, Leanna Russell of Kansas City, MO, and James Russell of Green Bay, WI. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pansyle "Lee" Luckey; one sister, Marie Fitzpatrick; brother-in-law, Thomas Fitzpatrick. Funeral mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 23, 2002, at St. John Neumann Church, 2900 E. Main St., St. Charles. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Yurs Funeral Home St. Charles. The family wishes to thank Dr. Elham Ziai and Dr. William Mackin, Dr. John White, the nurses and staff at Delnor Community and the nursing staff at three north, three south, two north, & CCU and Provena Pine View Care Center, St. Charles.
