Seth Aaron Jones, 17, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2015 at home surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Lizella Baptist Church with the Reverend Chris Minton and Reverend Steve Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends Monday, July 20 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Hart’s Mortuary at the Cupola.
Seth was born in Macon and attended Howard High School. Before his illness, he was active in cross country, football, wrestling and Northway Student Ministries. Seth was a member of Lizella Baptist Church and was strong in his faith. He worked at Chick-fil-A, loved hunting, fishing and his dogs. He enjoyed being with his friends, shooting guns and riding around the farm. Seth was preceded in death by his grandfather, Norman Jones.
Survivors include his parents, Ed and Laurie Jones; sisters, Sidney Jones (Josh Shutter) and Savannah Jones; grandparents, Sidney and Shirley Marshall and Jolaine Jones; his devoted girlfriend, “his princess”, Savannah Thorne; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends.
