Sharri Ann (Stark) Pheiffer, of Davenport, Iowa, went home to be with her heavenly father Wednesday, April 7, 2004. Celebration of Life Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 17th at Christ United Methodist Church, 41st St. and Pine, Davenport. Memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or Shriners Hospital for Children, Chicago. Weerts Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangments. Mrs. Pheiffer was the daughter of John "Fritz" and Bernice (King) Lee. She married Richard Stark. He died in 1968. She married C. John Pheiffer, Jr. in 1973. She was a graduate of Davenport Central High School and Madison School of Banking. Sharri was a professional banker, currently employed with Metro Bank. Throughout her career, she had been employed with various banks in the Quad City area as teller, Operation Supervisor, secretary to the President, Branch Manager, Commercial Loan Officer, and Director of Business Development and Marketing. She was also an instuctor for Black Hawk College and Scott Community College for banking administrative courses. In 1991 she was awarded an Honored Member of Who's Who in US Executives for the year. An active member of the Quad-city community, she served as a member of the Economic Development Task Force of Davenport; a former member of the Board of Directors of Edgerton Women's Health Center (Maternal Health Center), Davenport; past President of Northwest Davenport Business Association; past President of the Davenport Chamber of Commerce Women's Division; former member of the Board of Directors of Iowa Quad Cities Rotary, Davenport; Treasurer of the Board of Directors of Senior Voice, Davenport; many chairmanships and former Treasurer of Christ United Methodist Church, Davenport; Chairman of the Committee for the Development of West Locust Street & I 280 and a member of Davenport One. She was also a member of Daughters of the Nile. She is survived by her husband, C. John Pheiffer, Jr. of Davenport; son and daughter-in-law, John Scott Stark and Cindy of Belleville, Illinois; grandchildren, Chad Stark, Ryan Stark and his wife Belle, and Suzanne Stark; four great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda and Harlan Walker of Blue Grass, Iowa, and Sue and Albert Kelly of Davenport; niece and her husband, Kimberly and Kerry Cline, and grandniece, Kaitlin Cline.
