Decatur Herald, Decatur, Illinois, 16 Jun 1953, Tuesday – An obituary for two Shelbyville children, Ronnie Wheeler, 2 and his brother, Ira, 6, states they had died as results of an auto accident near Harrisburg, Sunday [14 Jun 1953]. Funeral services were in the Stewardson Methodist Church with burial in Stewardson Cemetery.

The parents of the young boys were Bernie and Ione Rentfro Wheeler.
