Randall "Randy" Scott Hill, passed away Monday, July 13, 2015, at his home. He was born in York, on Feb. 2, 1960, to Leslie Anne Tucker and Linwood McCowan. Randy attended William Penn High School. He later moved to South Carolina and graduated from Orangeburg-Wilkerson High School in Orangeburg, SC. He attended Delaware State College in Dover, DEL., where he met his lovely wife, Karen. Randy served in the US Army for three years, beginning in 1982, and continued his military service in the US Army Reserves until 2001. Randy went on to pursue his passion and began his law enforcement career with the York City Police Dept. Later Randy went to work for the Asbury Park Police Dept as a Police Officer, where he achieved the rank of Sergeant. Sgt. Hill held several positions during his 20 years of service with APPD. Randy was predeceased by his stepfather, Roscoe Tucker; his grandmother, Augusta Hill; and his sister, Vanetta Dickerson.
He is survived by his wife Karen;2 sons; 2 brothers; 2 sisters; In-Laws; Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
There will be a viewing at 9 a.m. Tuesday,
July 21, 2015, at St. Stephens AME Church, 100 Springwood Ave., Asbury Park, NJ, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral service. Burial will take place at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562-2206
