Samuel E. Kaiser
(1908-2004)
Samuel E. Kaiser, 96, formerly of Edon, Ohio, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at Sebring, Fla.
Born June 26, 1908, at Edon, Ohio, to Ann (Kasper) and George W. Kaiser, he married Alta Robison on Oct. 1, 1933, and she preceded him in death in 1995.
Shortly after his marriage, he moved from Edon to Fremont, Ind. and was a Kroger grocery manager for many years and later owned and operated the Fremont Locker and Kaiser Supermarket in Fremont.
He helped in starting his son's grocery business in Butler, Ind. and was a member of the Fremont Methodist Church.
After the passing of his wife, he moved to Wesley Apartments in Auburn, Ind. and then later to Sebring.
Surviving are a son, Jerry (and wife, Bonnie) Kaiser of Sebring; four grandchildren, Jeff (Laurie) Kaiser of Butler, Ind., Mrs. Tom (Debbie) Hollabaugh of Butler, Ind., Greg (Dawn) Kaiser of Edon, Ohio, and Mrs. Kevin (Linda) Haverstock of New Haven, Ind.; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be held Friday from 7-9 p.m. in the Feller Funeral Home, 875 S. Wayne St., Waterloo, Ind.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Butler Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Fremont United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer's Foundation.
