She was born July 28, 1935 in Charleston to the late Joe and Nell Allinder. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Marie Hundley, June Haddox and Mary Lou Kinder.
She was a Stonewall Jackson High School graduate, class of 1953, retired from AT&T and a charter member of Canaan Baptist Church.
She is survived by her loving family, her husband of 61-and-a-half years; two daughters; three sons; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Elk Funeral Home, 2001 Pennsylvania Ave., Charleston, with the Rev. Tim Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
