"Herbert Ames, brother of John Ames, of Traer, and A L. Ames, of Buckingham. died recently at his home near Couchella, California. Heart disease was the cause of his death. Deceased was one of the seven children of Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Ames Sr., pioneer residents of Buckingham, who died many years ago. He had lived on the Pacific coast since leaving north Tama more than thirty years ago. For many years he was engaged in the mining business. Of late he had been operating a dairy firm near Couchella. He was about 51 years old. He leaves a wife and four children— two boys and two girls. The widow was a daughter of Arthur Bates, well known in north Tama in early days. "
