HONEY GROVE

Last rites for Talbert Davis Jessup, 66, of 802 W. Market St, were set Thursday at 2 p.m. at McKenzie Methodist Church, here, where he was a member. Officiating were a former pastor, the Rev. Raymond Trompler, Dallas, and the Rev. James Dean, present pastor.Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home here made burial at Dodd City

Bearers being Alan Craig Smith, Alldon Yadon, Turman Crouch, Joe Neal Blair, James Craig and Ronnie Blair, all of Dallas.

Son of Carl John Jessup and the former Oleta Ellen Earley, Talbert Jessup was born at Richmond, Ind., Feb. 23, 1899.

He was a World War I veteran and had been a traveling salesman a number of years.

He died in his sleep at home Dec. 28, having returned home from a hospital the day before.

He married the former Lucile Andrews, Dec. 19, 1950, and she survives, besides three children by a former marrage: Talbert Jessup Jr., Bill E. Jessup and Miss Nancy Lee Jessup, all of Dallas, and also David Jessup, Honey Grove, and one sister, Mrs. Helen Morton, Union City, Ind.
