James N. Davis and Jane Williams were married on the 20th of December 1818 in Madison County Alabama. Their marriage ceremony was read by Justice of the Peace, Benjamin Franks. This marriage is recorded in Alabama Marriage Collection, 1800-1969.

All of their children are recorded in the papers settling the estate of James N. Davis, dated March 1873. As recorded, they are:
