Johnny Odell “Papaw” Boyd, age 50, went peacefully in his sleep November 17, 2014. He was preceded in death by father Franklin Boyd, mother Alma Painter Moyers, grandparents Rev. Paul and Edna Hayslip, and Bruce Boyd, and several other loved ones. Survivors include wife and best friend Deborah Pratt Boyd, sons David L. Boyd and Joseph D. Collins, daughter Crystal E. Boyd, sister Mary Dalton, special granddaughter Leah D. Boyd, as well as several other grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Thursday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with the service to follow at 7 PM with special cousin Rev. Tom Free officiating. The family will hold a private interment.
