Services were held Thursday, March 3, 1997, for Mrs. Edith "Dolly" Irwin 86 of Andrew . Burial was in the Andrew cemetery. She died Monday, Feburary 28th in the Jackson County Hospital, Maquoketa. The funeral was at the Carson Funeral Home in Maquoketa with the burial at the Andrew cemetery.

Mrs Irwin was born November 14, 1890 near Foulton to John an Wilhelmina (Wilmina Schoaf) Merritt. She was married to Charles Irwan in Clinton, Iowa on May 10, 1926.

Survivors include several include several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and three sisters.
