Lawrence W. Brewer, age 65, of Lee’s Summit, MO died July 14, 2015. Visitation will be July 18, 2:00pm to 4:00pm with a 4:00 Memorial service at Langsford Funeral Home, 115 SW 3rd St, Lee's Summit, MO 64063. He will be laid to rest July 20 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 20109 MO-13 BUS, Higginsville, MO 64037. Memorial contributions may be made to K.C. Hospice House 12000 Wornall Rd, K.C., Mo. 64145.
Lawrence was born and raised in Carthage, Mo. before entering the U.S. Army in 1969. He served 4 years, stationed in Korea. He received an honorable discharge from the Armed Forces in 1972. Upon his return to the U.S., he began his 30 year career with Jack Cooper Transport earning the Million Mile award. During his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his lifelong friends, children, and family. His passions include spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, fishing, cooking, rebuilding classic cars and motorcycles. He enjoyed making people laugh. His humor will be missed and forever remembered.
He is survived by his son Lawrence W. Brewer Jr. (Jennifer Patterson) of Lee’s Summit, Mo., daughter, Carla Roche (Bill Roche) of Overland Park, KS., grandchildren, Ashley Hung, Kavan Brewer, Jerrica Patterson, Liam Roche, Brady Roche and 2 sisters.
