He was born June 4, 1932, in McKeesport, and is the son of the late John T. and Henrietta Clay Walsh.
He was a veteran, having served in the Army during the Korean Conflict, and was a public community sales representative for Bell Atlantic for 43 years.
He was a member of Corpus Christi Church where he served as an usher (formerly with St. Pius V Church), a controller and councilman for the City of McKeesport, a constable for the City of McKeesport, a Democratic committeeman for the 7th Ward of McKeesport, a member of the White Oak American Legion Post 701, the Eleventh Ward Club and a life member of the Bell Telephone Pioneers.
He is the husband of the late Irene Crawford Walsh and is survived by his son, of McKeesport; daughters. He is also survived by his grandchildren, his brother, of McKeesport; sister, of McKeesport; and nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from noon until 4 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA.
Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Corpus Christi Church, 2515 Versailles Ave., McKeesport, PA.
Entombment will follow at Mt. Vernon Mausoleum.
