Richard W. “Dick” Haley, 84, of Danville died July 14, 2015 at the UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC. He was born September 16, 1930 in Pittsylvania County to the late Pearl Clark Haley and the late Joseph Haley, Sr. Mr. Haley attended Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, and was a member of the Morotock Masonic Lodge No. 210 AF&AM. He was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans after being wounded in the Korean War while serving in the US Army. He worked for Dibrell Tobacco Co. for 42 years and also volunteered at Danville Regional Medical Center for many years.
Mr. Haley is survived by his wife, Mary Carter Haley; one daughter, Mary Haley Butler; one son, Mark C. Haley; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Haley was preceded in death by one son, Richard W. Haley, Jr., two brothers, and two sisters.

Interment will be at Danville Memorial Gardens
