Service will be at 2 p.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church with entombment in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum. Arrangements are by Schaetter Funeral Home.
He was born Nov. 27, 1913, in Gillespie County. He was the owner of a retail Implement dealer.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra K. Tolbert of San Antonio; a son, Dr. Stephen D. Schaefer of Georgetown; a brother, Marvin Schaefer of New Braunfels; and four grandchildren.
