Daughter of Nicholas and Jennie Lynch Gartner, Mrs. McGuire came to Lambertville as a young child.
She was a secretary in the guidance department at South Hunterdon High School for 15 years before retiring in 1980. Earlier she had worked as a secretary for the city of Lambertville.
A lifelong member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Mrs. McGuire was active with the St. John the Evangelist PTA and sang in the church choir. She was a volunteer for the Lambertville Little League, the Hibernia Fire Company Auxiliary and in the banquet room at the Lambertville-New Hope Rescue Squad.
Her husband, Richard J. McGuire, died earlier, as did children Nancy J. Hendricks and John T. McGuire, and daughter-in-law Angie McGuire.
She is survived by two sons, a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law, 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
