h/o Mary Magdalena Abel Cullers who was born 1723 they married 1742 in Germany

(From Find A Grave contributor Patrick O)
From HOMEPLACE HISTORY, TRADITION AND MEMORIES, by Orie Munch as transcribed by his step-daughter, Jeanette Conner Ritenour.

Tradition says that Jacob was a sailor who had gotten too old to go to sea. Jacob had charge of the plantation after his son had died, giving various chores to his grandchildren, telling them if they hurried with their work he would tell them a story of his days on the seas. He must have been a good storyteller, for they would work hard to please him.
