William John Gatley

EUREKA — William John Gatley, 86, died here Friday evening at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Alliene Farren, of causes incident to age. Born in Cornwall, England, May 12, 1871, to William Cornick and Annie White Gatley. He came to Quincy, Mich., when eight years of age, Moved to Eureka in 1906. He was a miner. Married Ethel Ivey in Salt Lake City June 10, 1908. She died Dec. 15, 1929, in Eureka. He was a member of the Methodist Church.

Surviving daughters: Mrs. J. M. (Myrtle) Morton, Murray; Mrs. Alliene Farren, Mrs. Frank (Frances) Ewell, Eureka; Mrs. Allen (Helen) Porter, Magna; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Sydney Stocker, Flint, Mich.

Funeral Tuesday 2 p.m. from Eureka Methodist Church with Rev. Craig Mollison officiating. Friends call at the home of Mrs. Frank Ewell Monday evening and Tuesday prior. Burial in Eureka Cemetery under direction of Quist-Fairbanks Funeral Home.
