Larry Rankin MIDLAND -- Graveside services for Larry Rankin, 59, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Plainview Cemetery with Scott Sheppard, minister of Fairmont Park Church of Christ, officiating. Arrangements are by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home of Plainview.

Mr. Rankin died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005, in Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas after a lengthy illness. He was born July 6, 1946, to Keith and Louise Rankin of Plainview. He was raised in Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He lived in Lubbock, Snyder and Midland as an adult and worked for McDuff Electronics before having to leave due to illness.

Survivors include his wife, Annette; two sons and daughters-in-law, Lance and Amy Rankin of Weatherford and Coay and Martha Rankin of Hermleigh; a stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Sarah and Gary Henrich of Hobbs, N.M.; and two stepsons and a stepdaughter-in-law, Ed and Cindy Scott and Melvin Scott, all of Hobbs; his father; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. His mother and a brother, Gary "Bo" Rankin, are deceased.

The family suggest memorials to the American Heart Association.
