Nobility. Born Maria Franziska Dorothea Christina the daughter of Joseph Karl Emanuel von Pfalz-Sulzbach and Elisabeth von Pfalz-Neuburg. She married Friedrich Michael von Zweibrücken-Birkenfeld in 1746 and bore him five children. By 1760 the marriage was finished and she began an affair with and actor. When she became pregnant she was removed from the court and sent to Straßburg where she gave birth to a son. Afterwards she was sent to a monastery in Metz and later to Bonnevoye. After her husbands death she was allowed to live at Sulzbach castle.
