Jacob's last name is spelled Willimon on his gravestone, and in keeping with findagrave regulations to use the spelling on the stone, that is the spelling I am using on this memorial.
Benjamin Willamon married Grace Taylor on December 31, 1921, in Ottumwa, Iowa. On that marriage certificate, Benjamin stated that he was born in Oskaloosa, Iowa, to Jacob and Myrtle (Shaffer) Willamon. On Jacob Ben Willimon's World War I Draft Registration, he gave his birth place as Oskaloosa, and on Jacob Benjamin Willamon's World War II Draft Registration, he also gave his birth place as Oskaloosa.
