Betty Mae Bond, 84, of Michigantown, died July 15, 2015, two days shy of her 85th birthday, at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Lebanon, IN.

Born July 17, 1930 in Kirklin Township, Clinton County to Alonzo & Rosella (Carter) Barnett. She married Leslie Leon Bond on January 1, 1950 in Anderson, Ind. and he preceded her in death on February 21, 2009.

Mrs. Bond was a 1948 graduate of Michigantown High School. A homemaker, she enjoyed sewing, quilting and gardening.

She is survived by two daughters, Diana Rose Bond of Kokomo, IN, and Mary Jane (Rick) Caldwell of Zionsville, IN; 1 Grandson, Chad (Janene) Smith; and 1 Great Grandson, Colton Leon Smith.

She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Walter Murphy and 3 brothers, Paul Barnett, Donald Barnett and Charles Barnett.

Visitation will be Friday from 12 Noon – 2 p.m. with the services beginning at 2 p.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Whiteman Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
