Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic church at Dobie...for Frank Peter Sirek, resident of that community since 1919. Mr. Sirek died late Monday [Dec. 11, 1961] at a local hospital after a brief illness. Officiating at the requiem mass will be two sons, Rev. Cyril Sirek of Superior as deacon and Rev. Frank Sirek of Mellen as celebrant. Burial will be made in the church cemetery. Mr. Sirek was born October 25, 1891 in Polk county, Minn and had farmed dear Dobie from 1919 until retiring to Rice Lake two years ago. He is survived by his wife, the former Dorothy Myerchen, four sons, Edward of Ladysmith and Dennis of Rt. 4, Rice Lake, besides the two sons who will officiate at the burial, one daughter, Mrs. Helen Daniels of Weyerhauser, 11 grandchildren and three brothers, William, Louis and Michael, all of the Rice Lake area.
