Raymond Stark, 76, passed away July 11, 2015 at his home in McPherson. He was born on Sept. 3, 1938 in Hartshorn, Missouri the son of Irvin and Mattie Lewis Stark.
He served in the U. S. Air Force from 1960 to 1964. He was the pastor at Cherry Street Church of God, McPherson, a former pastor at the Oswego Church of God, was former owner of the Texaco Service Station, Oswego, had worked at the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant, for BF Goodrich, Miami, Oklahoma, and Shears Construction, Hutchinson.
On Oct. 27, 1963 he married Evea Jean Hammond at Chetopa. He is survived by his wife, Evea Jean Stark of McPherson, two sons, Timothy (Amanda) Stark of McPherson, James Stark of Versailles, Missouri; three brothers, Frank of Columbus, Irvin of Wellington, David of West Mineral; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 15 at Moundridge Funeral Home, Moundridge with Pastor Chris Matthews and Pastor Chuck Baker officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., with the family greeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 14 at Moundridge Funeral Home.
Burial will be in the Oswego Cemetery, Oswego. Memorials may be sent to the Cherry Street Church of God in care of Moundridge Funeral Home, Moundridge.
