DEATH OF EDWARD EVANS

Mr. Evans had been employed at the Victor mine for some time and later at the Bullion Beck and last week was taken to the St. Mark's hospital. A telegram announcing his death came Wednesday and his friends here were taken completely by surprise as they were of the opinion that he was recovering. Mr. Evans and Ernest Eplett, another miner of the Victor mine won the prize in the double hand contest in Eureka on July 5. J B Evans went to Salt Lake Wednesday and accompanied the remains to Eureka the following night.
