Brandon Michael Collins, age 12, of Taneytown, Maryland, died Monday, July 13, 2015, as the result of an automobile accident near Mt. Airy. Born October 31, 2002 in Howard County, he was the son of Nicole Renee Collins. Brandon was a student at Gateway School in Westminster where he was prepared to enter the 7th grade. He enjoyed playing basketball with his uncles and friends. He also enjoyed playing and watching football. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Surviving in addition to his mother are siblings, Jonathan and Savanna Perryman of Florida; half-sisters, Abigail Perryman of Florida, and Aubrey Martin of Sykesville; Grandmothers, Dawn Davis of Randallstown, and Teresa Utz of Taneytown; grandfather, Michael Davis of Taneytown; great-grandmother, Theda Barrows of Texas; special aunts, Stephanie and Erica Collins of Taneytown; special cousins, Allissa, Paradis, Skylar, and Marvin; and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by great-grandfather, Eugene Barrows. A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2015 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions to help defray funeral expenses may be made to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD, 21787.
