Born December 6, 1926 in Dimmit, Texas she was the daughter of Clyde Robert and Zetha E. (Williams) Fisher. Nelda worked as a federal telephone operator, liked Crocheting, listening to gospel music and she always remembered one of her fondest childhood memories was going with her daddy as he led gospel singing at different churches.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Grady Woods of 25 years; two sisters; one brother.
Nelda leaves behind to cherish her memories, her three sons; Stewart Lee Swift and wife Peggy, Gary Donald Swift, and Larry Neil Swift and wife Phyllis; one daughter, Brenda Jane Phillips and husband Robert; step-daughter, Sandra Jean Oliver and her husband Billy; one brother, Clyde Robert Fisher Jr. and wife Norma; eight grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
