Services for David Alvis Taylor, age 72, of Dodd City will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10 at Wise Funeral Guardian Chapel. Rev. Sue Reames will officiate. Burial will be in Dodd City.
Mr. Taylor died Tuesday, Nov. 8 at the Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Center.
Mr. Taylor was born March 25, 1916 in Fannin County, the son of Tom H. Taylor and Callie Owens Taylor.
He was married Nov. 21, 1945 to the former Myrtie Bridges. Mr.
Taylor was a United States Army veteran of WWII and a retired lineman for the Fannin County Electric Co-op. He was also a member of the Dodd City Methodist Church and of the Bonham VFW.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Myrtie Taylor of Dodd City, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will be at Wise Funeral Home Wednesday night from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.
