Lana was born to John A. and Dolly (Cemer) Hanes on July 20, 1955 at Stratton, NE. She passed peacefully at the Dundy County Hospital in Benkelman on June 23, 2014. Lana graduated from Trenton High School in 1973 and worked several years at the El Dorado Manor. She received her Certificate of Dietary Management from the University of North Dakota during this time period. She married William "Bill" Keller on August 11, 1985, and the couple lived in Sidney, Nebraska for 15 years before moving to Benkelman in 2010. Lana was employed four years at the Dundy County Hospital. She was a member of the Church of God in Trenton. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers (two infant and Robert Hanes); brother in law Don Voeller and a sister in law Virginia Hanes; nieces Marsha Lozano and Audia Voeller; nephew Heath Todd. Lana is survived by her husband, one daughter, one son and his wife; seven grandchildren; one sister; four brothers, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services were held at the Church of God in Trenton on June 2, 2014 with Pastor Andra Roberts officiating. Memorials in Lana's name could be given to the American Cancer Society.
