Mike joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1986 and served our country until 1994.
He was self-employed with his landscaping business. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved to go on hunting trips with his two boys as much as he could. He also loved to play the drums. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Eagle Lodge of Fredericksburg, Va.
Survivors include his two sons, Blaine and Evan Wasson of Midland, Va.; his parents, Layton and Linda Wasson of Meadville; his companion, Diana Krut of Marshall; his former wife and mother to his children, Joyce Barb of Midland; his sister, Missy Askey and her husband, Rick, of Conneautville; brother, Matthew Wasson and his wife, Julie, of Meadville; and several nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
Burial will take place at Kiser Hill Cemetery with full military honors performed by Huidekoper Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2006 Colorguard.
