MRS. ROSA SALTER KIRKWOOD - Mrs. Rosa Salter, 91, of Kirkwood, died Thursday at 6 p.m. at her home, following a lingering illness. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Holliday and Hoover Chapel at Monmouth, where the family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8:30 o'clock. Burial will be in the Center Grove Cemetery at Kirkwood. The former Rosa Starkey was born Jan. 11, 1872, at Kiddville, Mo., and had resided in the Kirkwood area most of her life time. She was married to David Salter in 1888 at Kirkwood, and he preceded her in death in 1941. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Minnie Vaughan and Miss Zaida Salter, of Kirkwood, and Mrs. H. L. Randall of Monmouth; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great - grandchildren. A daughter and a brother also preceded her in death. Mrs. Salter was a member of the Kirkwood Methodist Church and its societies.
