Linda L. Hoover, age 67, of Urbandale, formerly of Durant, passed away Monday, July 13, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center, Des Moines.


Visitation will be Noon to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 18, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Durant. Memorials may be made to Urbandale Caring Corps or the Iowa State Fair Blue Ribbon Foundation in her memory.


Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 18, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Durant. Burial will be in the Durant Cemetery, Durant, Iowa.


Linda Lou Langbehn was born April 6, 1948, in Davenport, the daughter of Fritz and Luise (Salzmann) Langbehn. She graduated from Durant High School in 1966. She worked as a licensed cosmetologist, until she became employed as an Administrative Assistant for various insurance and financial services firms. She enjoyed animals and was active in the Small Paws dog rescue and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and Elvis Presley fan.


Surviving are two sisters, Eleanor (Harold) Leazer of Wilton and Margaret Frick of Ankeny; eight nieces and nephews, Steve Leazer of Wilton, Gary Frick and Glen Frick, both of Ankeny, Sandra Bland of Clive, Lori Frick of Tucson, AZ, Lisa Elkan of Boca Raton, FL, Sue Hobby of Hughson, CA, and Marcia Klindt of Des Moines; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Dorothy Klindt.
