Elmore was born in Kincardine, NB, on April 3, 1928. He was the son of the late Ernest and Katherina (Gaunce) Chapman. Elmore leaves behind his daughters, Kathrina Crawford of Perth-Andover, NB, Carolyn Giberson (Dale) of Kilburn, NB, Susan Hargrove (Andy) of Kincardine, NB, Betty Chapman (companion James Dunlap) of Kilburn, NB,; his son, Harry Chapman of Kilburn, NB; his sisters, Betty Hathaway and Irene Giberson both of Perth-Andover, NB; 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.
Elmore was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Meriam "Toot" Chapman (Lewis); his son, Jack Chapman; his great granddaughter, Cory Chapman; his step-mother, Edna Chapman (Ruff); sons-in-law, Neale Crawford and Gerry Patterson; sisters, Laura DeMerchant, Phyllis Johnson, and Mary Lou Dechant; his brother, Ronald Chapman.
Resting at his home, 59 Kilburn Road, Kilburn, NB, with visitation on Tuesday 1-9 pm. A private family funeral will be held. Rev. Duane Broad officiating. Interment will follow in the Kilburn Community Cemetery.
