Funeral serivces for Mrs. Jerry Owens, age 76, of Dodd City, were held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 18, 2000 at Cooper-Sorrells Chapel in Bonham. Officiating was Mr. Barry Frambes. Interment followed in Dodd City Cemetery.
The family received friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday night at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Adams, Cody Adams, Phil Ferguson, Justin Ferguson, Matt Ferguson and Travis Carraway.
Mrs. Owens passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2000 at Community Medical Center in Sherman.
She was born on June 10, 1923 in Old Kemp, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Harve W. and Levie Clara Gregory Walker.
Mrs. Owens was married to Mart Owens in Denison, TX. He preceded her in death on March 18, 1991.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ in Dodd City.
She is survived by her sisters, Juanita Adams and husband, Percy of Ravenna, Betty Galloway and husband, Jack of Sherman, Harvey Jean Benning and husband, Bob of Pensacola, FL., and Ruby Graham and husband, Glen of Collinsville.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Billy J. Walker.
