Laura L Capps Self, age 88, of Pinson, Alabama, formerly of McDonald's Chapel, Alabama went to be with her Lord on 13 Jul 2015
She was an active member of McDonald's Chapel United Methodist Church for over 40 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey Denson Helms and Louella Helms, two wonderful husbands, James Alford Capps and Sebern L Self; her brothers and sister, Coyle R Helms, Durrell Helms, James L Helms and Jane Misso; one grandson, Cory Capps; and one great grandchild, Josie Kate Wilder.
Laura is survived by her children, James T Capps (Mary), John R Capps (Kathy), Mark Capps and Dawn Gill (Roger); 10 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild; two very special family by choice, Shana Capps and Linda Butts.
She was a loving, giving, wife and mother, grandmother and friend to all.
A true Christian woman! She will be greatly missed, but we know she is rejoicing with her Lord and family.
The visitation will be Wednesday, 15 Jul 2015, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, at Peoples Chapel Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Bro Lynn Northcutt officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetary.
