She was born Aug. 18, 1949, in Cambridge, the daughter of the late Edward Sr. and Henrietta (Bates) Evans.
She loved her children, her family and all types of animals. She enjoyed listening to country music.
Right after high school, she went to work as a secretary for the late Sen. Albert Berkowitz.
She was predeceased by her parents; her son, John R. Hodgedon Jr., who died Aug. 30, 1973; by one niece and one nephew.
Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Middle Granville.
