My dearest friend, Tillie, was a wonderful person, one of the best! There was no more loving mother than Tillie, her 3 boys were her whole world. She called her husband, "Grumpy", but it was done lovingly, she catered to him so much. She always had a tasty dessert ready for him after dinner, which he loved. Tillie was a world-class baker of cookies, cakes, breads, everything! She would start her Christmas baking very early, and pack them carefully in her freezer until the big day. She also shared her delicious baked goods with friends and family. I remember receiving the gift of her cookies many times over the years. They would be packed in store gift boxes and the cookies would be in cupcake papers, so many different kinds and all delicious. Her kitchen was small, but her heart was big.

Tillie's youngest son, Paul, passed away several years after her. I'm glad that didn't happen while she was alive, because it surely would have killed her. She loved her boys more than anything.

I learned so much from Tillie, about life and love. I am forever grateful for her friendship. She is one of those special people that you can only say good things about, there was nothing bad about her. I will miss her forever.
