Shirley A. Gamble Port Huron Shirley A. Gamble, 76, died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 in Port Huron Hospital following a short illness. She was born February 16, 1936 in Port Huron daughter of the late Leslie T. and Margaret Ann (Becker) Bodley Shirley married Robert J. Gamble on July 21, 1963 in St. Stephen Catholic Church. She was a 1954 graduate of St. Stephen High School. Shirley retired from Michigan Bell Telephone Company in 1994 and was a loyal University of Michigan fan. She loved animals especially cats. Shirley is survived by her husband, Robert J. Gamble of Port Huron; daughters, Margaret A. (David) O'Dell of North Lakeport, Michelle M. (Patrick) Chrivia of Port Huron and Karen E. Gamble of Port Huron; grandchildren, Jessica Lynn, Brittany Nicole, Magen Anne, Chelsea Marie, Brian Randall, Riley Lynn, Alec Michael, Cody Raymond and great-granddaughter Adrianna Alise; sister, Susan (Gary) Phillips of Port Huron and brother, Dr. Michael (Sandy) Bodley, MD of Grand Rapids. Mass of Resurrection will be 10am Saturday, February 2, 2013 in St. Mary Catholic Church. The Rev. Zbigniew Zomerfeld will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visiting hours will be 2-4 and 6-8p.m. Friday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral home and 9:30a.m. Saturday at the church. Memorials in memory of Shirley may be given to Blue Water Habitat for Humanity.
