SARA F. LOVE

ABBEVILLE.… Sara F. Love, a resident of the Henry County Health & Rehabilitation, in Abbeville, formerly of Headland and Cottonwood passed away Tuesday morning, April 21, 2020. She was 88.
Due to the COVID-19 Virus, a family graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 24, 2020, in the Dothan City Cemetery with Reverend Norman C. Simmons officiating. Anyone wanting to attend the service will be allowed, as long as the CDC COVID-19 social gathering guidelines are met. There will be a public address system set up so it can be broadcast with everyone sitting in their vehicles to listen. The family would ask that anyone who wants to sign a register and attend the viewing without the family being present (because of CDC Covid-19 guidelines) may do so from 12:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 and 8:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 23, 2020 in the Dogwood Room at the Wright Funeral Home & Crematory.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested contributions be made in Ms. Loves’ honor, to a favorite charity of your choice.
Ms. Love was born in Dothan, Alabama to the late Aubrey Cameron and Alma Williams Johnson. She lived most of her lifetime in Cottonwood. Due to her illness she moved to her daughters home seven years ago and lived there six years until moving to Henry County Health & Rehabilitation a year ago. She attended Cottonwood First Assembly of God. Sara was a seamstress at Warner’s in Dothan and also Dothan Manufacturing. She worked with Wiregrass Rehabilitation until her retirement.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Love; her step-father, Roy Johnson; and her brother, Charles Snellgrove.
Leaving to cherish her memories is her daughter, Mary DeShazo (Mickey) of Headland; a granddaughter, Lisa Scott (Tracy) of Headland; her grandsons, Jason DeShazo (Nancy) of Auburn, AL and John DeShazo (Kim) of Trussville, AL; her great-grandchildren, Will & Trey Scott of Headland, Joanna and Rachel DeShazo of Auburn, AL, and Sally, Jed, and Ben DeShazo of Trussville, AL.
