Dodd City

Funeral services for Grace Jo Devault, 95, of Dodd City will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the Wise Funeral Chapel. Rev. Bob Posey and Rev. Bell Ledbetter will officiate. Burial will be in the Dodd City Cemetery.

Ms. Devault died Tuesday night, July 19, 1994 at Northeast Medical Center in Bonham.

Mrs. Devault was born in Fannin County, August 12, 1898, the daughter of Samuel Dawson Taylor and Nora Feeback Taylor.

She married James Leonard Devault August 23, 1919 in Dodd City. He preceded her in death in 1957.

She attended school at Flag Springs. Mrs. Devault was a homemaker and a member of the Dodd City Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, seven brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include five sons: Joe T. Devault and Sam Devault, both of Bonham, Charles L. Devault and David Earl Devault, both of Dodd City, and Jack D. Devault of Phoenix, AZ; a daughter: Betty Sue Terpening; a sister, Nell Caruthers of McKinney, along with nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchldren.

The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Home from 7-9 p.m. Thursday night.

Pallbearers will be R. D. Taylor, Steve Bankston, Charles Taylor, James Ray Baker, Cecil Garner and Ben Taylor.
